We’ll walk to several stops in downtown Corvallis revealing stories that have shaped our food system and continue to influence social justice today.

Gain a deeper understanding of how local food has been shaped by historical struggles, cultural intersections, and the ongoing fight for equity. This tour is an eye-opening experience for anyone interested in food history, social justice, and the ways in which they are intertwined.

Soil, Struggles, and Suds: Corvallis Beer History

Discover how beer tells the story of resilience, adversity, and the fight for justice in Corvallis.

We start with 45-minutes of stops downtown that tell the fascinating story of brewing from its early days to the modern craft beer movement.

Our last stop is Sky High Brewing, where you’ll enjoy a 30-minute brewery tour and tasting.  This tour is perfect for story lovers and beer enthusiasts alike – a journey from past to pint!

This tour reveals how floods, prohibition, and colonial legacies shaped the brewing industry, while highlighting the impact of racism and marginalized communities on the craft.

Sip of History

A 75-minute guided walking and learning adventure that ends with a tulip pour at local craft beer bar – The Bière Library – in a building connected to the tour.
